In the year 2000, I founded Worldwide Hello with the vision of delivering unparalleled translation quality and customer service, drawing on my extensive background in the banking and translation sectors.
I am a seasoned Spanish, French, and Arabic translator and language consultant with over 25 years of professional experience. My subject-matter expertise spans various domains, including Law, Finance, Business, and Energy. With a self-designed Bachelor of Arts in Translation from the University of Pittsburgh, I began my translation career at a Fortune 500 bank where I provided language support for both the bank's day-to-day operations and those of its corporate clients.
Continuing my academic pursuits, I earned an MBA from Northcentral University in 2003 while concurrently working as a freelance translator and language consultant in Spanish, French, and Arabic. Serving clients globally, I became a subject-matter expert in the legal and financial sectors, contributing to numerous technical and high-profile translation projects.

AI and Machine Translation have witnessed significant advancements, especially since the inception of Machine Translation research at MIT in 1951. While these tools offer substantial benefits, exercising CAUTION in their usage is paramount. The principle of "Garbage-In Garbage-Out" underscores their effectiveness when appropriately employed by professionals and the potential for serious issues if used indiscriminately.
Machine Translation (MT) is often sufficient for straightforward documents or large volumes of data, as it provides extremely fast translations with a focus on basic accuracy and low cost.
For situations where precision is critical, i.e. legal documents, contracts, culturally sensitive marketing materials, or any content where quality is paramount, we offer Post-Editing of Machine Translation by human linguists. This service leverages the speed of machine translation and the expertise of professional human editors. These linguists refine and perfect the machine-generated text, ensuring it is indistinguishable from human translation.

Lucy, Ethel and Fred go on a sightseeing tour, where Lucy wanders off and tries to order lunch at a French cafe. She unintentionally orders snails and moments later is arrested for paying with counterfeit money. At the police station, one of the funniest moments appears, as neither Lucy or Desi speak French – but an inebriated man at the station speaks Spanish and German, and one of the police officers speaks German – so Lucy speaks English to Ricky, who translates it to Spanish to the inebriated man, who translates it to German to the police officer, who translates it into French for the police captain – and the words go back and forth up and down the line, ending with Lucy paying her bill without counterfeit money.
Because translation mistakes can be costly and embarrassing! This is especially true in the age of AI, where technical advancements and Jetsons-like promises can lead to unrealistic and uninformed decisions regarding language services. Cutting corners and getting a translation wrong can cost money, ruin your image—even cause accidents. So whether you’re translating a multi-million dollar advertising campaign, an employee safety manual, or internal policies, it pays to hire qualified, professional HUMAN translators to get the job done right the first time. The tools of a professional translator include AI, Machine Translation engines, CAT platforms, but most importantly, their HUMAN linguistic skills, which make it possible for them to decide which technology tools to use for each particular project.
Translations are usually billed on a per-word basis, and the cost various depending on many factors such as language combination, subject matter, timeframe, volume, and the technology tool to be used. Other services such as language consulting, subtitling and Desktop Publishing are billed on an hourly basis.
